# Setup 2Fa Legacy Get

> Old GET form of the setup, kept only to answer clearly.

A GET carries no body, so it can't confirm the current password (LB1-01):
it never creates a secret. Clients move to POST /auth/2fa/setup with
`current_password`. Authentication still runs first, so an impersonation
token keeps getting its 403.
